Our much anticipated headline slot at the iconic 100 Club on 30 April is coming up on the horizon. The third act on the bill, the excellent Adam Sweet, has just been announced- here’s a tasty Stones cover from his YouTube channel.
Speak to any of the Backbone crew or message us here for tickets - just £12 each!
This year’s winter festival booking is in the splendid seaside town of Whitby over the weekend of 8/10 November. As always with festivals arranged by Solid Entertainments there are fantastic acts throughout the weekend. Arthur Brown is an intriguing booking - I last saw him on ToTP in 1968, with a blazing helmet, performing Fire!
We’d love to see you there! The ‘tickets’ link on the poster takes you to online or telephone booking. Don’t forget to mention Backbone when you book your tickets..
Our good friend Neil Packman continues to bring quality blues acts to Reading for Friday Night Blues. Give your support to this excellent monthly event - this one should be a cracker!
We loved playing on the ‘introducing’ stage at the festival in Blackpool a couple of weeks ago. We were honoured to be chosen by the audience to return on the main stage next year! It’s already shaping up to be a great line-up; here’s the most up to date poster - put the date in your diary!
Our take on the 100+ year old blues standard, House of the Rising Sun, has hit 100k views on YouTube! For a little band like ours that’s summat to celebrate.
It’s sure to make the setlist for our show at the 100 Club on 30 April, so grab your tickets (just £12) from any of us (or msg us here) to hear it loud and live… Here’s ol’ glamour boy leading us through it at the Looe festival, with thanks to John Warner for the recording.
Now fully recovered from last weekend’s fantastic festival in Blackpool, we were pleased to read the review of the festival by raw ramp, which included this brief mention of our set on the introducing stage:
Backbone Blues band, a tight five-piece blues outfit with drums, bass, guitars, and piano/organ, followed and became a resounding success, earning them a sought-after spot on the main stage of the 2025 event. Beale to Bourbon was a treat!
Thanks raw ramp! - here’s the aforementioned B2B, a live favourite since we first recorded it for ‘which way to the blues’ in 2015
